RR Tuesday Tomato group class, 12/Oct (in the same day).

Via the one-to-one with Cai today, I finally realised my position to my interventions and my participants.

I have a perspective of an “expert” who share my own precious lessons about the art with other “passive” “receptors”, especially women in their 40+ to relieve their ageing anxieties.

I am even one of those kinds of “underestimated” women myself, but did not respect my/our own life experiences and regarded them who needs to be educated.

But, the art system which is far beyond from the public, far upper existed from the women is wrong, not the public or the women who cannot find any interests in Art is wrong.

So, I made and am making interviews with the experts in the art system about their awareness of this problem or efforts dealing with it, and make them to go closer to the public and the women in the next stage. Due to my perspective was changed, the “meeting point” will be different from the prior interventions.

Cai’s Direction:

What is art?

Who decide what is art?

Is this art, or not?

The people in the art system: Curators, Gallerists, Auctioners…

Vs. Viewers, Consumers(?), Collectors, Creators

Weaving, knitting, sort of arts/crafts regarding as “women things” collaboration…

Read Black women critics and theorists’ works.

RR’s Recommendation:

Reference: Tracy Emin

What is art, design, and craft?

Very promising, prominent development
